Celebrity musician Kid Cody and Black Eye creator Kenya Barris have teamed up with Netflix for a new animation project, and Netflix has set an Entergalactic release date with a special new teaser trailer! Netflix held a special during the Annecy International Film Festival (now taking place abroad), and here’s where the first look at Entergalactic has been officially revealed. Described as a “Netflix TV event” there is still a lot of mystery surrounding exactly what to expect from this original animated project. But now fans can eagerly await her debut later this fall.
Directed by Fletcher Mulls, written by Ian Edelman and Maurice Williams, DNEG Animators, with Kenya Paris, Scott “Kid Cody” Miscudi, Karina Manachil, Dennis Cummings, Fletcher Mules, Ian Edelman, Maurice Williams as executive producers, Intergalactic will debut with Netflix On September 30th around the world. - Jessica Williams as Meadow: A rising photographer who is Jabbari’s new neighbor, Meadow isn’t just the cutest girl at the party, she’s the most realistic.
- Timothée Chalamet as Jimmy: Jimmy is Jabari’s best friend and … a weed dealer, although with the new drug laws he is now focusing on cryptocurrencies and new inventions. Jimmy is a paradoxical, backward conspiracy theorist who is never without an outspoken book.
- Ty Dolla $ign as Ky: the irreverent, sometimes indecent Jabbari. Ky is always there for Jabari, although his support can sometimes come in interesting packages.
- Laura Harrier as Carmen: Jabbari’s last ex-girlfriend. Elegant and confident, Carmen is the girl you’re supposed to marry.
- Vanessa Hudgens as Karina: Mido’s trustworthy best friend, adorable grounded, and adorable carrier.
- Christopher Abbott as Red: a stylish-looking shark with a heart and an art dealer who is the portrayal of Meadow. Red has kind of a chin sharp enough to cut through glass but not strong enough to take a punch.
- 070 Shook the role of Nadia: Marj’s assistant from the art scene. Born and raised in New York City, Nadia is an in-your-face sculptor whose voice can only be drowned out by the noise of her work.
- Jaden Smith as Jordan: A teenage BMX star, Jordan’s talent gets a pass to kick it off with Jabari and Jimmy. Jordan sees the dating scene in New York City a little differently than Jabari.
- Keith David as Mr. Rager: Al Jabri’s Supernatural Innovation.
- Tiana Taylor as Boxing Coach: Mido and Karina’s tough boxing coach at Rumble NYC.
- Arturo Castro as Lynn: Lynn: An upwardly mobile professional, Lynn is Jabari’s co-worker at Cosmic Comics. He was wearing hard boots and a newsboy hat. He is very smart and very annoying.
- Macaulay Culkin as Downtown Became: a downtown legend and a lifelong city-wide offender. Despite his brave exterior, Pat possesses a very romantic heart and wise words.
